The final piece of Westcott Venture Park's landmark £16m Plot 9000 development is now complete, delivering state-of-the-art facilities designed for advanced manufacturing, high performance engineering and technology industries.
The brand new industrial and warehouse development Orbis9000 is arranged in two terraces across six units ranging from 2,740 sq ft to 28,280 sq ft and is available for immediate occupation. The buildings have been speculatively developed and are highly sustainable having achieved BREEAM 'Excellent' certification and EPC 'A' ratings.
The development sits immediately adjacent to the Skylark building, Westcott's striking new hub which houses the 100-seater Skylark Café, conference centre, meeting rooms and boardroom.
The completion marks the culmination of a flagship project extending over 66,000 sq ft, bringing together state-of-the-art workspace, world-class amenities and a thriving space and technology community in one location.
Nigel MacKenzie, Development Manager at Westcott, said: "These state-of-the-art units now provide the perfect environment for companies to establish themselves within the renowned Westcott Space Cluster, benefiting from immediate access to the Skylark's amenities and the collaborative ecosystem that makes this location truly unique.
"The completion of Orbis9000 brings the entire Plot 9000 vision to life. We have created something truly special here, a place where innovative companies can put down roots, be part of an extraordinary community and have everything they need to thrive. Westcott has always had a unique spirit, and this development gives that spirit a home."
The Orbis9000 name reflects its position within the renowned Westcott Space Cluster, one of the UK's foremost centres for space, advanced manufacturing and high-performance engineering. Grade A office space within the Skylark building also remains available, with suites from 1,000 sq ft up to 5,500 sq ft.
URA Thrusters, the sustainable propulsion company, and Skyports Drone Services, a leading drone services provider, have already taken space within Phase 1 of the development, alongside Westcott Shared Facilities, which offers technical resources for industry, academia and students.
