The Buckinghamshire Business Festival 2020, which runs from March 2nd - 13th, is a celebration of business in the Entrepreneurial Heart of Britain and is a great opportunity for businesses of all sizes to learn, network and upskill, and will build on last year’s excellent inaugural festival.
With events set to take place across the county, the showcase event of the festival fortnight is the Buckinghamshire Business Expo which takes place between 10am-4pm on Friday 6 March at The Gateway in Aylesbury. With over 100 exhibitors and hundreds of visitors booked to attend, the event is lining up to be one of the biggest networking events in the business calendar.
The theme of this year’s Business Expo is ‘Workplace of the Future’. Exhibitors and visitors alike will get the opportunity to experience new sustainable technologies that will change the way we work today. The aim is to inspire people around ‘the art of the possible’, and from Tesla test-drives to developments in Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, there will be something new for everyone.
The #NetZeroBucks zone, sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council, will put a spotlight on green businesses and will be packed full of organisations that can provide products and services to help local organisations reduce their carbon emissions in areas such as waste, lighting, heating, packaging, transport and more.
Spotlight on green business at festival: 2
#NetZeroBucks is a campaign that was launched by the business community to create a net zero Buckinghamshire economy. Buckinghamshire businesses are driving innovation and change to contribute towards a better future, so whether businesses are visiting or exhibiting, they can pop by the #NetZeroBucks zone and be inspired to ensure their business leaves a positive legacy on our journey to #NetZeroBucks.
Councillor Paul Irwin, Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, Aylesbury Vale District Council, commented: “As part of Aylesbury Vale District Council’s wider Environmental Initiative, we’re delighted to be sponsoring the #NetZeroBucks zone at the Buckinghamshire Business Expo. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the priority Aylesbury Vale District Council and other local businesses are giving to delivering greener services and promoting environmentally friendly ways of working.”
Philippa Batting, Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Business First, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the Buckinghamshire Business Expo for the second year, bringing together an exciting range of events and support for our local businesses. This year we are especially excited by the #NetZeroBucks zone, sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council, which highlights the role that businesses can play in reducing carbon emissions and the innovations that can pave the way for those reductions.”
Visitors to the Expo will also be able to drop into the ‘Business Support Zone’ where Buckinghamshire Business First and partners will be providing advice and information on the funding and support available to support their businesses.
