As part of Total Carbide’s commitment to supporting those within the armed forces community, it is offering member organisations of Bucks Uniformed Youth the opportunity of STEM placements and visits to its facility as well as Westcott Venture Park.
Westcott based Total Carbide Ltd is a defence employer, manufacturing parts for the defence and aerospace sector. Managing director Andreas Hohmann explains: “The company supports the armed forces community in many ways by offering placements and internships for the cadet forces to support their STEM training. We provide insight into how science technology and engineering works, by taking them through the history of Wescott Venture Park and demonstrating technologies of the future.
“We also provide apprenticeships and guarantee job interviews for reservists, cadet force adult volunteers and ex service personnel.”
Member organisations of the Bucks uniform youth which includes the Fire Service, Police Cadets, Cadet Forces, Air Training Corps, Navy Cadets amongst others.
