Total Carbide South East Finalists in the National Apprenticeship Awards

The finalists for The National Apprenticeship Awards 2020 have been officially announced and design and manufacturing company Total Carbide Ltd have made the finals in the Apprenticeship Employer category for the South East region.  

Westcott based Total Carbide is one of only six companies shortlisted in this category and the winners will be announced on 25 November 2020 which will take the form of a virtual national ceremony.

Now in its 17th year, the National Apprenticeship Awards showcase the diverse and growing range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships. The awards celebrate employers who fire up their business with apprenticeships, outstanding apprentices who blaze their own trail, and individuals who champion apprenticeships with passion.

Managing Director Andreas Hohmann explains: “We are absolutely thrilled to be named a National Apprenticeship Awards Regional finalist. We have always invested in our staff through training and providing progressive career paths and this prestigious national recognition is testament to the fantastic hard work and commitment of the whole team. Total Carbide is a leading European manufacturer of sintered Tungsten Carbide wear parts, employing 26 people and part of the Versarien Plc Group.

The company sells to a global customer base covering 40 different industries producing bespoke products for a wide spread of wear applications.  These range from all aspects of the oil and gas industry through measurement tools and cutting knives to difficult complex applications requiring specialized corrosion resistant materials.
